the process

  • Implant placement
Our implant surgeon will apply a local anaesthetic and implant a titanium post into the jaw bone, This procedure is relatively quick, lasting between one and two hours. You may experience a small amount of discomfort following the placement of the implant but this will subside and healing will occur quite quickly.
  • Biological integration
Biological Integration occurs when the implant becomes integrated with the bone, we would expect this to take between 8-12 weeks. Once the implant has integrated with the bone, it will provide a strong and stable platform for the new crown or bridge.
  • Restoring your smile
Once the jaw has healed, impressions can then be taken and sent off to the laboratory to construct a custom-made crown or bridge that matches your natural teeth. These are then attached to the implant, restoring your smile
